This study will demonstrate the feasibility of implementing a Rapid Diagnosis Centre/Clinic (RDC) to a rural population in Wales. The goals are:
- To assess the resources (estate, equipment and imaging workforce capacity) available to introduce a Rapid Diagnosis Centre/ Clinic for a rural population in Wales.
- To determine if primary service users would refer patients with vague non-specific symptoms to a Rapid Diagnosis Centre/Clinic.
- To determine if patients would attend a Rapid Diagnosis Centre/Clinic to achieve a rapid diagnosis for their symptoms.
- To determine the capacity of healthcare professionals across the RDC pathway to deliver holistic patient care.
- To compare the costs of an urban Rapid Diagnosis Centre/Clinic to delivering a rural Rapid Diagnosis Centre/Clinic.
