Supporter promise
When you choose to support Cancer Research Wales, you’re choosing to help make sure the people of Wales don’t have to accept cancer as a life-threatening disease – thank you so much.
As an independent Welsh charity, we receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of supporters to fund world-class research here in Wales. However you decide to support us, we really value your commitment. In return, we want to make our own commitment to you.
We promise
- To be clear, honest, and open
- We will always be guided by our vision of a Wales united against cancer through world-class research and our mission to ensure the people of Wales do not have to accept cancer as a life-threatening disease.
- We will be clear about who we are and what we do. We’re proud to be a charity that raises and spends money in Wales to help people affected by cancer and their loved ones.
- We will tell you about the difference your support has made and could make, and be honest about the challenges we face.
To be respectful
- We will respect your rights and privacy. Your details are safe with us, and we will never sell them to any third party. Read our full privacy policy.

- You are in control and can choose how we contact you—or stop communications completely—by calling 029 2185 5050 or emailing contact-us@cancerresearchwales.org.uk.
- We will give you the chance to support in a way that works for you, always being respectful and sensitive to your circumstances
- We won’t put pressure on you to give more or more frequently. If you choose not to give or decide to stop supporting us, we will respect your decision.
