Mari Grug

Mari Grug is an accomplished Welsh television and radio presenter.

She began her career as a children’s presenter with ‘Planed Plant’ before presenting some of Wales’s largest cultural events such as the Urdd and National Eisteddfod, the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells and was part of the weather presenting team for 6 years.

In 2013 she decided it was time to come home to West Wales to raise a family and since then her work has been mainly based in Llanelli as part of the popular daily programmes ‘Heno’ and ‘Prynhawn da’ presenting team. She is also a regular on Radio Cymru presenting Bore Cothi and her latest project is the only Welsh language podcast discussing cancer called ‘1 mewn 2’.
In July 2023 she revealed she had been undergoing treatment for metastatic breast cancer. As a mother of three life is busy but a lot of fun.
