Dr Steve Man

Steve came to work at Cardiff University after a PhD in London (Imperial College) and post-doctoral research in America (University of Virginia). He is a Reader (Associate Professor) with over 25 years of experience working in higher education; as a researcher in Cancer Immunology (HPV, Leukaemia, and Prostate), as a supervisor for PhD students and as a teacher to medical students. 

He is also interested in community engagement, particularly in communicating science to children and adults. Steve has been connected with Cancer Research Wales for over 18 years, as a research grant holder, member of the Scientific Committee and more recently as a Trustee. Outside work, he tries to stay fit, and enjoys cooking, travel and photography.
