Angela Jay

Swansea-born Angela Jay is a well-loved and respected radio personality who has been waking up Wales for many years since her time on Real Radio breakfast in South Wales (now Heart) and Heart North West and Wales in Wrexham. Angela currently presents the Breakfast Show on Nation Radio Wales and mid mornings on Dragon Radio.

Angela began her broadcasting career at the age of 16 when she became the youngest female presenter in the UK on her local radio station – The Wave.

During her career she has also enjoyed hosting Top of the Pops for the BBC world service and Summer Saturdays for BBC Radio Wales along with the All 80s Weekender.

An experienced host event, Angela has fronted this year the Pride of Wales Awards, South Wales Schools and Education Awards 2024 and more.

Angela is looking forward to being an ambassador for Cancer Research Wales.
